This privacy policy covers the current MosqueMe website and the personal data handling that is currently implemented on the site, including the contact form.
Important Scope Note
Important Scope Note
This policy is based on the current MosqueMe website implementation. It applies to the public website pages and the website contact form.
If MosqueMe launches a mobile app or adds new website features such as analytics, marketing tooling, uploads, or additional account systems, this policy will need to be updated before those new data flows go live.

2. What This Policy Applies To
This policy currently applies to the website pages and forms available on MosqueMe's public site.
- The main website and marketing pages.
- The contact form used to send enquiries to MosqueMe.
3. Personal Data We Collect
3.1 Contact form
The contact form currently collects:
- Your name.
- Your email address.
- Your mosque name, if you choose to provide it.
- Your message.
Contact form submissions are processed on the server side and handled securely by our team.
3.2 Technical and log data
Like most web services, the current website may also process limited technical data as part of ordinary operation.
- IP address.
- Request timestamps.
- Browser or device metadata.
- Server or infrastructure logs.
This is not custom analytics code on the site. It is the kind of operational data that may be processed by the website runtime, hosting layer, or database provider in order to run and secure the service.
4. How We Collect Data
We collect personal data when you submit the contact form. No other part of the website collects personal data.
5. How We Use Personal Data
We use personal data to:
- Receive and review website enquiries.
- Respond to contact requests.
- Keep basic operational records about incoming submissions.
- Operate, troubleshoot, and secure the website and its supporting services.
We do not use submitted data for behavioural advertising, newsletter campaigns, third-party analytics profiling, cross-site tracking, or training third-party AI systems.

6. Third Parties and Processors Currently Used
6.1 Website runtime and hosting environment
The contact form is processed server-side. Submitted contact data is handled securely within our website infrastructure.
8. Lawful Bases
For UK GDPR and EU GDPR purposes, the current website processing most naturally fits these lawful bases:
- Steps taken at your request before entering into a contract, where you contact us so we can review and respond.
- Legitimate interests, where we need to operate the website, keep reasonable records of enquiries, prevent abuse, and secure the service.
- Legal obligation, where we need to retain or disclose information to comply with applicable law.
If optional marketing, non-essential analytics, or sensitive features are added later, the lawful basis analysis should be reviewed again for those specific flows.
9. Data Retention
We keep data only for as long as it is reasonably necessary:
- Contact form submissions: normally no longer than 12 months after the last substantive contact, unless a longer period is needed for legal or dispute reasons.
- Logs and technical records: only for as long as reasonably necessary for troubleshooting, security, and operational continuity.
10. International Transfers
Because the website uses third-party hosting infrastructure, personal data may be processed outside the United Kingdom or the European Economic Area depending on service configuration and provider operations.
Where restricted international transfers take place, we will use appropriate safeguards such as adequacy decisions, standard contractual clauses, the UK International Data Transfer Addendum, or another lawful transfer mechanism recognised by applicable law.
11. Security
The website uses server-side handling for the contact form. Appropriate protection of personal data also depends on deployment and operational controls, including HTTPS in production, access control to logs, secret management, and limited internal access to submitted data.
No internet-connected service can guarantee absolute security.
12. Your Rights
Depending on applicable law, you may have the right to:
- Be informed about how your personal data is used.
- Request access to the personal data we hold about you.
- Request correction of inaccurate data.
- Request deletion of your data.
- Request restriction of processing.
- Object to processing based on legitimate interests.
- Request portability where applicable.
- Lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority.
To exercise a privacy right, email support@mosqueme.com. We may need to verify your identity before acting on a request.
13. Children
The current website is a product and onboarding site for mosques and community users. It is not designed to intentionally collect personal data from children under 13.
If we become aware that personal data from a child has been submitted in a way that requires deletion or parental involvement under applicable law, we will take appropriate action.
14. Changes to This Policy
This page will need to be updated whenever:
- New features or forms are added to the website.
- The website adds analytics, cookies, or marketing tooling.
- A mobile app is launched and the public privacy notice is expanded.
